Swollen Elbow For No Reason

G. Rubin, J. Butler Market gender

I do not see how one could speak of fetishism, sadomasochism or without thinking about rubber production, techniques of dressage horses, the use of the harness riding boots to shine bright military, history of silk stockings, the cold authority of medieval clothing, speed bike and the indefinable feeling of freedom one feels to leave the city and driving on a road in the wilderness. For all these reasons, how to think independently fetishism of urban life, certain streets, some parks, neighborhoods warm and shallow, the seductions of certain departments of large stores full of goods desirable and glamorous ? Fetishism in me raises many questions about changes in the production of objects, historical specificities of social control and the label of the skin, the experiences of ambiguous bodily intrusions and their hierarchy learnedly set. If the complexity of social information is reduced to castration, the Oedipus complex, knowledge or ignorance of what one does not know, I think we will have lost something important.
